Parth M.N receives the Ramnath Goenka Award 2019

It was from the agriculture belt of Marathwada, 2017 PARI fellow and an independent journalist, brought forth stories that underlined the country’s growing agrarian crisis. On January 04th, 2019, this series of stories bagged him the Ramnath Goenka award for 2017, under the category ‘Uncovering India Invisible’. The award honours intelligent and important reportage of rural issues in India. 

Parth’s reports substantively explore government loan waivers, reliefs and crop insurance schemes and its effect on the deepening agrarian crisis.  With great attention to detail in every report, he draws attention to the urgent affairs within the rural fold of the country.
